Ebola In The Big Apple

So, the doctor is with Doctors Without Borders!!! Well good for him!  I applaud his valor for volunteering to go to dangerous places and offer his expertise.  Where in the sam hill is his expertise upon his return?  Oh, you say, he is a doctor...he doesn't really need to adhere to basic precautions.

To me, this is very much like the Dr. Nancy Snyderman issue - she is the doctor from NBC who was placed in quarantine and then decided she wanted some soup.  So, what the heck - she just decides to go out and get some soup!! And, NBC?  Oh they covered for her.  Makes me sick.

I do not know whether or not we as a country are in deep doo doo.  During the writing of this post, I was  browsing the internet.  Here is a wonderful article - it restored my confidence in America!!

Incorrect, !!

My last post was lauding the Supreme Court for not accepting the same sex marriage cases because as I said, it should be up to the states anyway... at least along those lines.

In reality, if you were to check the states allowing same sex marriage, I doubt you would find it was up 'to those states'.  It was up to local and circuit courts.  I just wanted to clarify.  For me, I could care less, but this much I do know.  Decisions like this are not made by the people.  They are made by judges, and that my friends is why elections matter!!!

Bits'n Pieces

So the headlines read - Supreme Court Dodges Gay Marriage.  I say, good for the Supreme Court.  They are, in essence, leaving it up to the States.  And that, in my humble opinion, is the way these things should be decided.  Had abortion been decided that way it would have been totally settled long ago.

Evidently the seizing of the school girls by Boko Haram has been solved. I guess that Twitter campaign was wicked.  Methinks we should maybe use it against ISIS / ISIL.

Speaking of which - it is so very funny to watch the spokespersons for the Administration.  If one of them gets asked a direct question using the acronym ISIS, the spokesperson will go out of their way to answer referring to ISIL.  This just strikes me as funny and is to very transparent as to evidently be a daily talking point.

I have zero idea regards ebola.  All I know is, people are getting it; people who supposedly are taking precautions.  The ones I am worried about the most?  The three thousand military personnel they sent.  Let us suppose some of them get infected.  Where do they get to go, the VA?   Whew, I dunno!!
