This’n That About The Net

   Well boys and girls, we have the presidential debates coming right around the corner.  I am wondering if the 16 Trillion we are in debt should be a topic for discussion… or, should I say, how in  the samhill we should set about getting out of the problem.

   Well, President Obama thought it serious enough he appointed what was known as the Erskine Bowles Commission to foster ideas on how to find fiscal sanity.  Course when they came forth with  what many in this country thought might work, President Obama went AWOL – in other words he did NOTTA!!!

   So that brings us to the upcoming debates.  Do you think Erskine/Bowles might be a popular target for probing the candidates?  Not according to the democrats. Reps. Mike Honda (D-Calif.), Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) are crying foul, writing in a letter to the debate commission on Tuesday that although the Simpson-Bowles commission’s plan “may contain proposals helpful to our recovery… to hold it out as the only pathway to fiscal responsibility and economic success is foolish and wrong.”

   We shall see if the people conducting the debates can  be persuaded to NOT ask the tough questions?  How are ‘you’ betting?

Just Thinking and Rambling

   So, over the course of this summer, I will guarantee I have spent at least $200.00 American at the fruit / vegetable stands along the roadsides.  After the President spoke awhile back I began  to think they should be distributing these fruits / veggies for free. After all, those lazy bums didn’t do it without government help.  They had roads to get those goodies to their stands.  Their fortitude and sweat to plant, nurture, harvest and bring to their roadside stand is insignificant. I deserve to git my fricking money BACK!!! FREE I SAY!!

It Is, As Expected

   The reaction to Ryan being selected as Romney’s running mate is as expected.  Of course it would not have mattered ‘who’ was selected, but this pick gives them what they perceive to be, more ammo than ‘most’ of the others. 

   The tried and trusted charges by the democrats – Ryan’s budget will kill old people, starve the children, make people homeless etc. ad nausea.  It gets so very old.  Fact is President Obama has cut Medicare by 800 BILLION dollars!!!  They don’t, actually they ‘can’t’ deny it, but the press refuses to acknowledge or ask about this fact.

   I will say this much about the pick.  I like the fact there will be a clear choice.  Romney showed me courage and intellect with this pick, at least in my opinion.  And, I will guarantee this… you my dear fellow Americanos will know more about Ryan, just like Romney, than you EVER will know about your current president.  The press will do their job on these two fellows.  They were, they are, and always will be, afraid to probe President Obama’s past.
