This’n That

It is official – Mubarak ‘must’ leave Egypt; Omar Shariff has weighed in on the subject and says so.

I’ll say one thing – Israel has been mucho quiet on the Egypt issue – real quiet other than to say they need to retain the relationship with Egypt.

Everyone here is upset because Egypt shutdown the internet during the current uprising.  I hereby invite you to visit the following link:  http://goo.gl/RQFhw   Now, tell me again just how upset you are about Egypt.

Remember when President Bush was slammed for flying ‘over’ New Orleans instead of landing during Katrina?  I wonder just what the media would have said about him attending a party while all thunder was breaking loose in Egypt?  Umm do you think perhaps the world situation might require abit more attention than being at a party?  I do. But then,  we should all be understanding.

I am reading a book written by a lady who lived on the plains during the early 1900s.  She happened to mention there were bullies at the little school,  and you must know, people who scrawl their thoughts into the twenty second century will be writing about bullies.  Read that, until the end of time.

In talking about the upcoming debt ceiling Senator Shumer of NY talked about the three branches of government… he called those three branches, The House, The Senate, and The President. How about that!!!  I learned something from the esteemed Senator from NY.  It’s on utube if you wanna watch.

Government Healthcare At It’s Finest

So – I kept seeing an ad in the paper from a local pharmacy saying if one had diabetes, it might be possible to get shoes for free through Medicare. This piqued my interest, and, since I have the honor of having diabetes I called.

The lady said one needed a script from their doctor and then Medicare would pay 80% and your insurance would normally pick up the remainder.  I said, what if one didn’t want to bother with the doctor and just wanted the shoes.  She said $100.00 American  for the shoes, and $20.00 for the inserts (three pair).

I got the script from my doctor – I drove to the pharmacy and told the fellow what I was interested in – now, he doesn’t know I have a script with me, so I pulsed him how the deal worked. He repeated what the lady had told me on the phone.  I said, how much would it be if my supplemental did not cover the shoes.  He said my share (20%) would be around $80.00 American.  This means they would be billing Medicare right around $400.00.

Now, as a taxpayer I was simply amazed and made some comment about good ole Uncle Sugar.  Fella looked me right in the eye and said we (the pharmacy) need and have a right to get a cut of the pie.  I don’t even disagree with that, but my simpleton math says these shoes have been marked up about 300%.  So I of course saw this as a good deal for all concerned and ordered a pair; in fact asked if I could have two.  NO – just one per year, so you know where I will be next January.

Gotta write my grandson (who just began working),  a note and thank him for paying taxes.  In reality this makes me want to vomit, but we deserve it, don’t we?

Didja Ever Wonder

Why in the sam hill the left can blame talk radio for causing the scum in AZ to shoot people, and not blame the crap youth see in movies?  “THAT” is freaking “ART”.  Bile welling up. They are idiots.

Why the dots were not connected in AZ?  There seems, and I stress ‘seems’ to be ample evidence of people who knew of this wingnuts demeanor.  At a minimum, why in the world, if places of <higher> education identify someone with problems, isn’t that information provided to those who sell guns and ammo?  Just wondering.

   Why when President Obama said:

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.

"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."

So didja ever think that might just be umm, making people mad?  You get in ‘my’ face, and there may be issues Pard.  Course I never ‘did’ hear of one of those whose face was gotten into went out and picked up a gun. Hmmm. Interesting.

Ah well, it just does not matter. I leave it to the Americano people to resolve.  They are not dumb.  The can decipher the crapola going on in this country.  It is, in my humble opinion, despicable how folks on MSNBC (in particular) try and exploit what is going on in Arizona.

And now the aftermath – Peter King of NY is trying to introduce a bill that would make it illegal to come within 1000 feet of a government official.  Umm, Mr. King – do you think someone off their rocker, and or a criminal gives a whit about a 1000 foot barrier?  As has been said so many times before.  We have enough laws on the books to take care of this and many other issues. Just enforce them!!

Sunday Morning Ramblings

It has been disgusting to see the quick accusations pointed at the Tea Party post the shootings in Arizona.  I have already seen a few of the videos posted by the shooter Jared Loughner – if you can align this wingnut to ‘any’ political affiliation you might want to check that wacky weed of yours.  He is a total loon.

BTW – for the record, the Congresswoman from AZ – Gabrielle Giffords is a conservative democrat.  Considering the political climate there, and we all know what the issue is – if anything, people on the political left would be the ones upset.  To automatically blame the Tea Party?  Let me just say this.  The Tea Party folks I have come in contact with are a cut above the day to day Americano.  They are aware of their government and how it works.  They do not like it, and know how to fix it – at the ballot box.  The Tea Party has replaced militias in the blame game.

Let me just say this – I have learned, over a long period of time to not jump to conclusions.  It is difficult to not do so when listening to the national media in this country, but I guess age does wonders for we the common folk.  On the ‘day after’, we find this Congressperson even voted ‘against’ Pelosi for the Speaker post this past week.  Gotta be a Tea Partier, right?  Disgusting!

Thoughts and prayers for all caught up in the havoc wrought by the loon Loughner.

Passing Thoughts On a Sunny Day

http://tinyurl.com/2w6edyb  The actions taken or not taken by President Obama will, in the end have more impact than Hurricane Katrina along the gulf coast.  Not only will their actions impact the gulf, those actions will also affect everyone who drives.  And todate the media is silent.  Sure, they have casually mentioned gas going over $3 per gallon… nothing like if the former President were still in office. Well, get ready folks cause I don’t believe we’ve seen anything yet.  Time of course will tell.

http://tinyurl.com/2czzgqj  I realize this is in Europe at the moment, but just how long do you think it will take for this to take affect here?  We get precisely what we ask for folks. Hail to the Chief!!
