Rambling Down The Road

Keystone Pipeline decision – no matter what side of the fence one is on, President Obama’s decision to hold up the pipeline is the most blatant ‘political’ decision I can think of… blatantly political.  I can not think of an appropriate adjective to describe what must be going through his mind.   There are no words.

http://goo.gl/mClXO  This has to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen regarding the great GM comeback.  I am confident the President will illuminate the resurgence of GM in tomorrow nights State of The Union address, but what he does not (will not) mention are the tactics taken to get there.  Ever heard of Bain Capital?  Ha ha.  Same techniques used here.  I am still holding to my pact to no longer buy GM.  I get a company discount because of previous employment with a GM company; I intend to never again buy GM due to the bailout.  They could have reorganized and accomplished the same thing – nobody will ever convince me otherwise.

It is interesting to hear the Republican ‘elite’ tell us who we should nominate to carry the party standard in the upcoming election.  I’m not saying Romney won’t get the nomination, but what I can tell you is this – if he (Romney) does not find a better way to articulate his positions, he will NOT be the nominee.  It matters not what the seers of the party say… the fricking thing called ‘the people’ will do the deciding.  The people are so very tired of being told they are too selfish, too rich, and yes, too white.  They are so tired of seeing political decisions (e.g. Keystone), that so obviously hurt this country.  Anyone who thinks the Tea Party disdain for government has waned, does so at their own peril.  No matter what one says in disagreement with the President is deemed racist.  Garbage.

http://goo.gl/t67uR  Me?  I’d say when the TSA has to frisk a United States Senator, we have gone just abit too far.  Just saying.

http://goo.gl/QBDHZ  Do you think this topic might be worthy of discussion at the State of The Union Speech?  And you wonder why ‘the people’ are tired of Congress?  Again, whether or not you agree, the House has submitted their budget; The Senate refuses. Should be topic #1 when The President speaks. It will NOT be mentioned; bet the bank.

This’n That

So they have gathered the required signatures for the recall of Gov. Walker in Wisconsin.  Let me just say this – what Walker tackled is going to be faced by every governor in this country, some sooner than later, but they all will face the same issues of paying high government salaries + bennies.  So, whether or not they will be successful in their attempt, what is happening there is a forerunner of what’s coming everywhere.

I do not care who the eventual Republican nominee is; the anal inspection that will be afforded to them will be nothing short of breathtaking.  It will be the dirtiest on record; I see nothing that has convinced me otherwise. Matters not whether or not it is Romney or Newt (and yes, I suspect it will be one of the two), the vitriol will be spewed non-stop.

Keystone being rejected – happy days are here again.  What a farce; there are no words.

This’n That

Have you ever wondered in the world of politics why Republicans are always called extremists?  You never hear of a far left person being tagged with that moniker.  Along the same lines, you ‘always’ hear the Republicans need to be more moderate.  Do you ever hear that about Democrats?  Just wondering.

For 25 years I’ve had an anal exam in January… 25 consecutive years.  At the same time I get my prescriptions written  for the year.  It so happens I also have diabetes.  So, I make my regular appointment and paid special attention to preparing cause I know what’s coming… NOT.

(she) What are you here for John, your diabetes?  (me) Not really, that is part of it, I am here as I am every January for my physical, and to get my scripts written for the year.  (she) We can’t write the scripts if we do the physical.  We can  write the scripts if you are here for your diabetes.  Snap decision… (me) OK Sappo, take my blood for the diabetes, write the scripts and I will get my hole probed in July vice January.  That was tween the nurse and me… when the doc came in, I told her as plainly as I could that for 25 years you have probed my ass in the month of January… nowI gotta wait till July. Isn’t life grand?

I did tell her I understand the new and improved insurance rules; the purpose of mentioning it here is simple.  If you do not believe there are changes coming to ‘your’ health care, you are a fool.  I think we all are fools, but that is another story.

I see my Man Jerry Brown is asking for 7 billion in additional taxes for California.  Happy Days are here again!

Microsoft has patented, for GPS devices a feature that will guide you around a given ghetto. This (promise me), will not be allowed to stand!!! http://goo.gl/bYKan

The President doing all he can to ‘buy’ votes for the upcoming election, among other things, easing immigration rules for illegals. Ho Hum. http://goo.gl/D27Sf  One cannot be surprised.

I personally do not know what to make of The Presidents recent recess appointments while Congress is in session. http://goo.gl/o5U37 You can argue The Congress being in session is a sham… they way they are conducting their active sessions was begun by the Democrats during Bush’s Presidency.  They all (Democrats) at the time figured it was a way to prevent the appointment of people without the consent of Congress. Now President Obama is just saying “forget it”.  I  gotta do it.  This is one of the most interesting developments in recent government history.  And no public outcry.  It is directly against the Constitution of these United States and NO public outcry.  The press should be in an uproar!!! And because there is no uproar, you had better buckle your seatbelts.  He is going to run roughshod over our Constitution.
