Passing Thoughts on a Hot Day

I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when watching the Chinese launch heavy lift rockets for future research in space.  The Chinese are going to build their OWN space station while we, the United States of America have to bum rides from the Soviets. It is very sad.

http://goo.gl/DsSHC  Where you have Mr. Putin lecturing Mr. Obama on what is legal and what is not, we truly live in a world I am not familiar with.  Not too sure I can get a grasp on all the changes taking place.

Regarding immigration – politicians keep telling us we need to bring these people ‘out of the shadows’.  First of all, I get so very sick of the argument which goes:  all the people in this country are immigrants.  What is left out of that widdle equation is this simple fact.  They came here LEGALLY.  To me, that is, has been, and always will be the argument. Now about those shadows.  Some of us might wish we were IN the shadows instead of being tracked every move we make.  Ever think of that?  How does one go about getting INTO the shadows?  You telling me the illegals are not making phone calls?  Sooooo, ummmm, what good is this big tracking thingy they are talking about?  Bogus?  I think NOT!

Not too sure just how I feel about Edward Snowden.  The minute he first appeared on TV, I turned to spouse and said, they will crucify that guy.  Didn’t take long – he is being vilified daily in the press.  Having worked in intelligence for many years, there are aspects of his story that do NOT make sense to me.  Other things he says, I have zero doubt of their authenticity.

http://goo.gl/gxsWO  Over the years I have verbalized about the stupidity of hate crime legislation.  The article cited makes my case, and I hereby ‘rest’ my case. We do get what we deserve.
