The Strings

So The President has announced if your company has accepted bailout monies from the feds you can not pay your executives more than 500K.  This of course only begins now, and is not retroactive to the first 350 billion allocated.  OK, makes everyone feel good.  Rich money grubbing S.O.B.s deserve everything they get, or in this case, what they do not get.

Well let us see.  You have company X and company Y.  X <took the money>. and now their top dogs are only allowed 500K.  Remember, these are supposed to be the smart guys actually running the company.  Y comes along and needs some new top dogs because they are doing so well and expanding their business.   Umm, just a thought Bunge – let’s call up X and offer 550K to one of their top dogs.  Whattya think is gonna happen?  Umm, just think about it for awhile while you feel good The President is finally taking care of ‘you’.  Get those rich guys.

It would be far better since the govmint is givin out moola, to give it to a successful enterprise. and let those who have FAILED fade away.  And for those who are intent on taking monies from da Feds… there are always strings, and to coin a phrase – paybacks a (B word).
