President Reagan

Anyone remember the memorial service for Senator Paul Wellstone? He was running for re-election during these past mid-term elections. His plane crashed on approach into a remote location in Minnesota. Regardless, his memorial, supposedly a celebration of his death, turned into a loud jeering anti-Bush rally. No matter you party affiliation, it was disgusting. High ranking dems in attendance had nothing negative to say [UNTIL], they heard the uproar from the public.

Now, we are getting ready to have memorial services for President Reagan. I will bet my 'last' dollar there will be nothing political about his funeral. Furthermore, if there is, I personally will be outraged.

I read where President Clinton was miffed he was not invited to speak at the funeral. There is the story about the very first time President Reagan entered the oval office when he was elected... it was just him and Mike Deaver. The President sat down at the desk, placed his hands on top of the desk... felt the surface in a circular fashion and said to Mike... don't you just have goose bumps??? Here was a man who demanded coat and tie just to enter the oval office. Now, considering what President Clinton did in the oval office... do you really think President Reagan would appreciate him speaking at his funeral? Nay, I think not!!
