A New Beginning

Is it just me or have all President Elects given weekly talks to the nation.  I mean…. on the one hand, Mr. Obama says we only have one President at a time, then I hear him talking to the people as if he is Da Man already.  Dunno, just a new trend I guess.  Will this be the norm in the future elections?  I for one do not recall it in the past. Just wondering.
