Obama Mania

It would seem Barack Obama is going to be one to reckon with as it pertains to Hillary, and in fact for us all. There is no question this man can speak, and speak well. Definite charisma flows from him in all directions. In a way, I hope he is not only the nominee, but the new president. Not because I think he's ready, (I don't) but because once and for all much of the silliness that spews from peoples mouths will be dispelled, and with emphasis.

Electing a black president will once and for all (I hope), show that color has zero bearing to do with what gets done in this country. There is racism in this country today. There was racism yesterday and there will be tomorrow. Americans are not unique in their racism. It exists around the world. B U T !!! By dragging and kicking, by new laws, by literally cramming it down peoples throats, racism has been reduced to a level that I doubt can go much lower. Yea yea, I know any racism is too much. Only an imbecile would disagree, but, it ain't gonna go away folks. Electing 'The Savior' would once and for all prove that fact methinks.

Many years ago, while stationed in Okinawa I observed racism against the Okinawan people by holier than though American G.I.s.... guess what, I observed the same thing in Thailand, and again in the Philippines. This racism was directed 'at' the foreign countries people by Americans, both white and black. Not only the soliders, but dependents also... I doubt this is unique to Americans, but I certainly observed it occurring. It sickened me every time I saw it, and it made the term 'Ugly American' real.

I'm just saying, perhaps electing a black president in this country would finally put to rest the fact that blacks do not have an equal shot in this country. I happen to believe they do. And after that? Perhaps an illegal straight from Juarez could be next... we will be ready by then, maybe earlier.
