Chief Justice Roberts

The Chief Justice is being roundly criticized by the media for talking about President Obama in  disparaging terms.  Herewith just a few facts.

1)  It is, has been, and always will be OK for a President to disagree with The Supreme Court.  Happens all the time and I expect it to continue happening.

2)  The major difference in this case is, President Obama chose to make his comments in hostile territory. He made his comments when members of the Democrat Party openly stood and jeered, booed and chided the Supremes who were in attendance.

3) Chief Justice Roberts had kept his mouth shut until asked a direct question while giving a talk to an Alabama college.  His answer was not rude, it was not disparaging; his answer was an open and honest discourse on how he was concerned.

The Chief Justice would be well advised to keep himself and his associates away from future speeches in the well of the Congress.
